Description: "dust" is a dance film that explores themes of legacy and mortality in the cycle of intergenerational caregiving. It pays tribute to the compassion, reciprocity, and unconditional love present as we guide one another into and out of this life. It depicts the experience of caring for my father as he died of cancer.

Ashtar Muallem

Director and Dancer: Ashtar Muallem

Singer: Ahlam Layous Tuma

Camera: Ashrad Dowani

Sound: Adonis Bondek

Editor: Loay Awwad

Production: Ashtar Muallem, Ashraf Dowani

Description: "Land of Denied Rituals" is a short experimental film inspired by Palestinian women's death rituals—songs, dances, and gestures. Through movement and embodiment, I reinterpret these disappearing traditions, transforming them before the camera. This work revives endangered rituals through physical language, reclaiming collective grief as expression and resistance. The film presents an untold strand of Palestinian heritage in a narrative that shifts between past and memory, presence and absence. By embodying these vanishing cultural practices, I create a space where Palestinian heritage lives on through art, turning loss into cultural preservation and resistance.

EVA JULLIERE

Choreographer & dancer: Eva Julliere

Editor: Guillaume Georges
Cinematographer:  Sebastien Abes

Composer: Amante Amato.

Description: Intervalle du Vide is an instantaneous composition of life, where every gesture and posture dialogues with the invisible. This performance explores our relationships to ourselves, others, and society through sensitive, intuitive scenes.
In my choreographic work, I draw inspiration from the films of Paolo Sorrentino and Yorgos Lanthimos, capturing fleeting moments of presence and vulnerability. This entire ambiance blends revisited mythology, visual theater, and deconstructed narration, all within an aesthetic marked by photography.

HANNAH STRANEY

Director: Joe Hill

Writer & Producer:  Hannah Straney

Director of Photography: Jake Kruty

Original Composition: Ryan Wolfe

Cast: Hannah Straney & Asha Benjelloun

Description: Directed by 5x Emmy award winning director Joe Hill, Don’t Leave Me follows two women deeply in love, who start to experience the dangers of losing themselves in each other. Don’t Leave Me is a visualization of the choice between yourself or your relationship.

FRANCESCA ARI

Creator: Francesca Ari

Description: Self Portrait | Videoperformance | 2012 | 3'59" | Audio stereo

Dorian Gray, in Oscar Wilde’s tale, imprisons his shame within his portrait to protect himself from the transience of beauty.

In contrast, Francesca Arri outlines her own portrait in a video where she mocks her image in the mirror, pointing at it in a gesture that is both a warning and a challenge—to herself and to others.

Her laughter draws us in, then unsettles and provokes. Does the performer expose her own shame, or ours?

Is she laughing at herself or at her viewers?

The grotesque image of our times is reflected in the lens of a video camera.
