ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Dual Rivet is excited to announce our 6th annual MADE BY WOMEN Festival, highlighting women* choreographers & filmmakers. This festival advocates and celebrates inclusion by connecting underrepresented creators with networking, resources, and an opportunity to present their work amongst the NYC community with the goal of impacting meaningful change in the industry. Through this festival the company is dedicated to advancing the careers of cis, trans, and gender expansive women creators in dance, dance theater, and movement on film.
This 3-day festival includes 4 nights of LIVE PERFORMANCES, a 6-hour movement WORKSHOP and a new immersive FILM NIGHT followed by a CLOSING PARTY! Stay tuned for our Fall 2026 Workshop Announcement & our 2027 Festival Events!

As part of our festival’s mission, we aim to highlight the work of women choreographers, filmmakers, and creators throughout our festival weekend.Stay tuned for 2027 Festival Applications..

FILM NIGHT
4 Filmmakers will be selected for 2 night immersive film event. This experiential FILM NIGHT is not like any other film festival. You will experience these films from the inside out. Audiences move through multiple transformed rooms designed to support each film through color, texture, environment, and feeling.

WORKSHOP
MADE BY WOMEN is excited to host a high-intensity, 7-hour workshop with Dual Rivet & 2 Guest teachers. The workshop will dive deep into floorwork, partnering, movement exploration and theatrical exploration/character development at the Joyce Studios.

CLOSING PARTY (Free!)
A free PARTY to celebrate the Festival Artists and the closing of our Festival weekend! The incredible DJ FLWRSHRK will lead us into a party with donation based drinks, incredible giveaways, and a celebration of women in the arts.
